The Reunion - The Abbouds

Kabil was a jeweller, and he had a family business that had been passed down through many generations.  In 1999, Kabil and his wife decided that they would need to leave Iraq because they were Mandean Iraqis, Christians, and Kabil was becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of his family.

In 1999, in the middle of the night, he and his wife woke up their six children and the family fled to Jordan. This was the beginning of a journey that would lead to five years of separation.

Unfortunately Kabil didn't have enough money to take the whole family at once, so he left with only his eldest daughter and youngest son. This is the story of their separation and the reunion they will never forget.
